Every year, Father’s Day rolls around and we’re faced with the same dilemma: what do we get our dear old dads for the big day?

Notoriously hard to buy for, they usually end up with socks, aftershave or some kind of merch from their favourite sports team.

Well now, everyone’s favourite budget supermarket, Aldi, has come to the rescue.

Just in time for Father’s Day, on June 18, they’ve relaunched the Godfather rump steak, a hulking 28oz slab of beef.

Coming in at £9.99, it’s 100% British beef, and if your dad is an enthusiastic carnivore, you can’t really go wrong.

The daddy of all steaks, it will be available from Thursday 15 June.

Aldi fans on Twitter have been welcoming in the return calling it ‘delicious’, and great value.

But others were somewhat alarmed by the size. ‘Hun, this steak, is too big. No one needs a whole godfather,’ wrote one user.

And if the mega steak doesn’t quite take your fancy, customers can also pick up British Wagyu Sirloin Steak, priced at £30.79 for 1kg.

There’s also the Specially Selected Ultimate Cote Du Boeuf for £29.99, which comes with Cornish sea salt and mustard butter.

So get your Gordon Ramsay, grab that pinny, and whip up a Father’s Day feast.

Still not convinced? We’ve also rounded up the best gifts – from food and drink, grooming to the more practical presents – sure to go down a treat.
