THE SCANDI FLICK IS THE FLATTERING WAY TO STYLE YOUR BOB THIS SUMMER, AS SEEN AT COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK

This time every year, I am completely gripped by the coverage of Copenhagen Fashion Week. My thumb is essentially just endlessly scrolling through all the street style pics that flood my feeds, and I love it. There's no denying that CPHFW brings all the coolest but relatable girlies to the forefront, and personally, I want to replicate everything I see. (BTW, our Senior Fashion Editor, Rebecca, is there at the moment, so give her a follow to see real-time coverage from the FROW!). While the fashion is centre stage, though, I am even more obsessed with the beauty looks I see from attendees.

Last year, we reported on the Scandi bob being the standout hairstyle of CPHFW, and this year, the bob's popularity is going nowhere. However, this season it's being styled in a very definite way that the Scandi gals are loving: the Scandi flick. This look sees hair smoothed down sleekly before flicking out dramatically for the final few inches. If you've been in the market for a new way to style your bob, look no further. Honestly, it's such a small detail, but it makes a world of difference.

It's also a look that works for all hair types. I have thick, Afro-textured hair and have been partial to a Scandi flick myself – you just have to master the smoothing, then focus on hold through the lengths to keep the flick prominent.

Use a straightener to smooth your hair down, then twist it upwards, turning your wrist 180 degrees to create the flick. I love using the Hair by Sam McKnight Modern Hairspray because it works as both a heat protector and a hairspray. Spray each section before using your styler, then mist your finished look. Bravo! You are now a Scandi queen!
