HEINZ WILL NOW LET CUSTOMERS CUSTOMIZE THEIR KETCHUP

  • Kraft Heinz has unveiled a new machine that will let you customize your sauce
  • It has four bases and four flavor enhancers
  • The Heinz Remix will be released to restaurants in 2024

Kraft Heinz is giving ketchup lovers a special treat as it is planning to launch a special machine that will help tomato sauce fanatics customize the condiment.

The company unveiled its Heinz Remix, which it said was the first-ever customizable internet-enabled digital sauce dispenser.

The concept is similar to soda dispensers and will allow customers to select from a range of bases - including Heinz ketchup, ranch, 57 Sauce and BBQ sauce - and then personalize it with flavors like jalapeno, smoky chipotle, buffalo, and mango.

Kraft Heinz showed off its creation on Tuesday at the 2023 National Restaurant Association Show and is scheduled to release it with restaurant operators in 2024.

There is said to be over 200 potential sauce combinations.

The vice president of disruption for Kraft Heinz, Alan Kleinerman spoke about the creation at the convention.

He said: 'As a company, we’re transforming through innovation by making bigger, more intentional bets to fuel our growth and create new experiences for consumers.

'Heinz Remix is a great example of this consumer-first approach to innovation. We’re changing the game for food service operators and sauce lovers — dipping will never be the same.

Peter Hall, US president for away-from-home operations, added: 'The launch is a first for the sauce category and food service industry.

'It’s a great example of how we’re leveraging culinary insights and category knowledge to drive greater value for our customers and consumers.

'Our ambition is to be the leader for taste, flavor, and experience anywhere you’re eating, and we’re delivering on that goal with category-leading innovations.'

Alan noted that the company is open to hearing the flavors fans have created with the machine.

'Who knows – maybe our next new sauce combination will come from a super fan using Heinz Remix,' Alan added.

And while ketchup-lovers can hardly wait to build their own dipping sauce, they are going to have to hold off a little longer.

The machine is going to be demonstrated as a pilot in 2024.

Kraft Heinz is no stranger to unique combinations, in the past it released its mayochup, which was a blend of mayo and ketchup.
